I'm a Momma.
My most important and treasured role is as a Mom. I have a precocious, loving son and a wonderful husband that are my foundation. My family is my EVERYTHING.
I'm a Shopgirl.
I always dreamed of owning a shop of my own. My mom, aunts, and I used to talk for hours about our ultimate business ideas. As a teacher for 20 years, I didn't really think my dream would ever come true. But then I moved to a magical place, where the tiniest shimmer just might be gold if you get after it.
I'm an Artist.
My grandmother gave me the gift of creating. I remember many nights in her living room spent painting greeting cards and decorating all sorts of baubles until well after midnight. I developed her habit of saving every little paper with a cute drawing or idea on it, and have spent my life doodling and creating ever since.
I'm an Explorer.
When I go someplace new, I love to just walk and discover beauty in the most mundane places. I usually force myself to get lost by taking the train or bus to the last stop on the route. I've been lucky to travel to many amazing locales. And yet I still get giddy and giggly about the county fair and the local swap meet.
I'm a Dreamer.
In case you couldn't tell yet, this pretty much sums me up in a nutshell! I get dreamy about so many things--a fabric design, the sun setting, a familiar aroma, old photos, a song I've played a hundred times in a row, the different colors of water. To me, all of those little things are what makes life beautiful.
